Essential duties and responsibilities
- To be the health manager for the camp; supervise health and cleanliness standards; work with the Director of Camps and staff; and help provide adequate physical health conditions for all
- Ensure each staff member and camper has on file a health history and examination form as required, review health forms
- Maintain camper health records
- Inform staff of unique camper health concerns
- Treat minor ailments
- Refer severe cases to the care of a physician
- Record all individual treatments administered
- Ensure the infirmary is maintained in clean condition
- Originate, update, and/or monitor health care, maintain records, and implement the health care plan
- Confirm the first aid kits are well supplied and prepare them for off-campus trips as needed
Minimum qualifications
- Licensed in the state of Florida as a registered nurse
- Experience working with children
- Current adult and pediatric CPR and first aid certifications
- Must be available for all 9 weeks of camp plus a week of camp training; 5/28/2024 - 8/2/2024
- Monday to Friday, both day and overnight positions are available
