Essential duties and responsibilities
- supervise a group of 15 - 21 campers
- assist with and participate in camp activities
- interpret safety and health regulations to his/her group such as emergency procedures to guide his/her campers in participation in group, unit, and camp-wide activities
- recognize and respond to opportunities for problem-solving in the group
- develop opportunities for interaction between campers and staff
- provide opportunities for the group so that each camper experiences success
- set a good example for campers and others, including cleanliness, punctuality, sharing clean-up and chores, sportsmanship, and table manners
- report any concerns or issues to a coordinator
- follow camp rules and regulations pertaining to smoking, use of alcoholic beverages, and use of drugs
Minimum qualifications
- Candidates must be at least 18 years old
- Have experience caring for children
- Must be available for all 9 weeks of camp plus a week of camp training; 5/28/2024 – 8/2/24
- Work Monday to Friday, 35 – 40 hours a week
- Salary $13 - $14 an hour
